VOLPAK is an international leading company in the packaging industry, belonging to the multinational group COESIA, specialised in the design and manufacturing of machines for flexible packages, cartoners and case packers. VOLPAK started its activity in 1979 manufacturing horizontal form fill and seal machines and quickly became the world-leading manufacturer of this type of machinery.

HFFS MACHINE FOR STAND UP POUCHES

In 1993 VOLPAK launched the first patented HFFS machine, producing stand up pouches with a straw inside for the beverage industry. Today more than 1,200 million pouches of this type are being produced every year and Coca Cola Company is the most important partner for this application.

In 1996 VOLPAK developed the first patented HFFS capable of producing a stand up pouch with a pouring cap, starting from one reel and with only one machine.

The latest model developed is a stand up pouch machine with the capacity to Form Fill and Seal at 240 stand up pouches per minute, the highest output ever reached with a HFFS for this pouch presentation.

HORIZONTAL POUCH MACHINES

Today VOLPAK produces the widest range of horizontal pouch machines, and has more than 4,000 units installed in 92 countries, having successfully participated in the most complex projects for global market leaders.

VOLPAK produces horizontal pouch machines for quick change over and output capacity of up to 360 ppm. Machine models include:

• S-90 and S-130 D traditional machines for flat pouches and production rates of up to 160 pouches per minute. More than 700 units of these models are operating worldwide
• SP family, including the SP 70, 140, 170, 220, and 260 - the most versatile machines that can operate from flat pouches to regular stand up pouches or shaped pouches at outputs of up to 360 pouches per minute
• SG family, including the SG 280, 320, and 360 - the best combination of robustness and flexibility. The machines are capable of handling stand up pouches of up to 4 kg

Both the units of the SP and SG line can be equipped with different features for specific applications or presentations, such as:

• Straw applicators for soft drinks
• Reclosable zippers
• Degassing valve applicators for coffee projects
• Front, top or on edge pouring spouts systems to apply to its pouch machines
• Feeding systems for refreshing or cleaning towels or medi-swabs

VERTICAL FORM FILL AND SEAL MACHINES

VOLPAK's product line is completed with vertical form fill and seal machines, cartoners and case packers specifically designed to handle flexible pouches and bags.

It manufactures vertical form fill and seal machines for pillow bags, block bottom and gable top presentation, with vertical seal centred or aside. The "tetra-seal" system is also available to seal the edges, giving more rigidity and stability to the bag.

AUTOMATIC CASE PACKING SYSTEMS

A distinctive characteristic of VOLPAK is that it offers complete packing lines from the filling through the cartoning to the case packing, all under the guarantee of one brand. VOLPAK provides:

• Packing systems for rigid products such as cans, boxes, packs, or for flexible pouches and bags
• Case erectors and independent grouping systems for semiautomatic lines
• Side and bottom loading case packers for carton boxes, cans, square packs
• Specific case packers for stand up pouches, including wrap around systems designed for display presentations in boxes or trays
