CPS Case Packing Systems

29 June 2007

CPS Case Packing Systems from Holland is a specialist in end of line packaging. For retail-ready or shelf-ready packaging, CPS has developed several solutions to pack flexible, semi-flexible or solid products into corrugated trays, reusable plastic trays and corrugated American cases. All this can be achieved on one machine.

The food producers often supply to several retailers from one packing line, which results in a requirement for small production batches that can often require different tray or case dimensions. To keep production downtime to a minimum, it is necessary that product change-over times are short and easily executed. With this in mind CPS Case Packing Systems has developed the CLP case packer for packing solid and semi-flexible products and the CL 64 for flexible products into trays and cases.

Using these M/C's customers can automate their end-of-line packaging efficiently and in a cost-effective way. Many additional features are possible, such as product check-weighing and labelling, which gives a totally integrated production solution. Packing capacities of up to 120 packs per minute and 20 cases per minute are possible.

The case packer layout can be 'tailor made' to suit the space available within the packing area. Potential customers can carry out case packing trials at CPS Case Packing Systems' factory in Holland to ascertain the correct machine configuration.

A huge range of specialist packaging solutions can be seen at CPS. CPS case packers are constructed so that different product patterns are possible in one machine. The system is menu controlled, which gives the customer the possibility to programme their own packing pattern for many different products and cases/trays. Typical product change-over time of less than one minute is possible.

The IPC menu control makes the case packers very flexible and easy to use – this, coupled with the small foot print and high reliability of the CLP and CL 64, results in a minimal total cost of ownership and a short pay-back time being achieved. This makes CPS case packers cost effective.

You will find CPS at booth number 1-343 of the Fachpack Exhibition which will be held in Nürnberg, Germany, from the 25th to 27th of September 2007.
