Meyer Seals - Closure Lining Materials

Meyer Seals have been producing and developing sealing materials for the packaging industry for 125 years. We currently produce approximately eight billion seals every year.

We have channelled our experience into our in-line process for the production of pre-punched sealing inserts. Every hour, about one metric ton of foamed PE or PP leaves our extrusion department. Our extrusion lines produce foams in a wide variety of densities and thicknesses. Further choices include laminated or unlaminated, in disc form or in tape / coil form. These foams have applications in all branches of industry.

SINGLE PROCESS LAMINATING, PUNCHING AND PACKAGING

Lamination, punching and packaging have been integrated into a single process at our production lines, meaning that Meyer Seals is able to handle large orders in an extremely efficient production process that does not require temporary storage or interruptions. This also eliminates the need for intermediate storage and for repeatedly having to handle materials, some of which are extremely sensitive. We supply goods tape for those of our customers who opt for this process.

SEALING INSERT DEVELOPMENT LABORATORY

We are pioneers of technology in our field, producing a full range of seals. When it comes to developing new sealing inserts, Meyer Seals is the company that prominent bottlers and packagers contact first.

Our applications engineering lab is a creative area of the company, in which we interact with clients to implement innovative suggestions for new products. The laboratory's state-of-the-art equipment allows us to thoroughly test the new products under realistic conditions. It also houses pressure testing facilities, high-powered microscopes and a microtome, for detailed analysis of materials.

Supported by our advanced research and development laboratory, our applications engineers focus on the entire process chain, starting with the supplier of raw materials through to insertion of the seals at the relevant premises, the closure manufacturers, and industrial bottlers.

INTERNATIONAL TECHNICAL SERVICE TEAM

Approximately 80% of our total sales volume is exported. An international sales and technical service team actively represents Meyer Seals on every continent.

We ensure that all products meet the highest standard of quality, with ongoing control of production, and appropriate product inspection.
