COATING AND DRYING TECHNOLOGY - PAGENDARM CONTRACT ENGINEERING

We place contracts for production of all prefabricated parts for a coating line with partners who know nothing about coating and drying technology, but are expert professionals in mechanical engineering, sheet metalworking and welding.

Our own engineers undertake quality assurance procedures during final assembly. Coating units, winders, dryers and moisturizers are fully assembled at the factory and subjected to rigorous checks before delivery.

TREND-SETTING TECHNOLOGY FOR FILM AND PAPER COATING

High-performance coating systems demand a high degree of flexibility. Quick and reliable production parameter settings are essential in both applicator unit and dryer, and these settings must be 100% reproducible at all times.

PAGENDARM COATING UNITS

PAGENDARM offers a wide range of coating unit variations. Flexibility means, for example, needing only a few easy operations to change coating weights or respond to changes in coating compound rheology, or precise edge-free coating of different web widths without changing the backing roll. Coating units in movable trolleys can be set up away from the machine ready for production changes and brought into working position in a matter of minutes.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE DRYERS - SPEED-STAR®

'Maximum performance dryers' does not always mean 'optimum'. To get the best results, it is necessary to understand the physics of the drying process. PAGENDARM's expert staff understand every aspect of the process. The Speed-Star® air flotation dryer has decoupled air circuits, top and bottom. This saves energy, because the upper and lower air are controlled separately; there is no lateral return air flow.

When drying solvent-based coatings, this technology also ensures LEL compliance everywhere in the dryer field. The air circulation system has eight levels and generously-dimensioned central extraction ducts - top and bottom - make this dryer the ne plus ultra for uniformity at every working width.

EXACT CONTROL OF DRYING SPEED AND TEMPERATURE - SPEED-STAR DRYER

With the Speed-Star dryer, 127ºC and 30m/sec always means 127ºC and 30m/sec. High drying performance with perfect web stability and absolutely uniform drying guarantees maximum production reliability, quality and cost-effectiveness.

In the Speed-Star air flotation dryer the edges of the web remain rock-steady in the airstream. Clean nozzle rims are a sure sign of drying quality.

FLUIDEX® PLANO - MOISTURISING AND FLATTENING CONTROL

The Fluidex® Plano steam inlet system guarantees absolutely dry operation and uniform moisturising over the whole working width, at all steam volumes.

PERFECT WINDING TECHNOLOGY AND SUBSTRATE-ORIENTED WEB TRANSPORT

Substrate-oriented web transport means ensuring that thin films, papers and laminates with properties that change along the coating line due to coating, drying and moisturisation are transported along the coating line with minimal shrinkage and wound straight. The solidly-built unwinding and winding systems ensure precise winding to avoid problems during later processing. We offer trouble-free handling of thin films, strong papers and laminates.

LONG-LASTING PARTNERSHIP - CUSTOMER CARE

Rapid identification and speedy delivery of spare parts ensures the operational capacity of our machines. Thanks to modern CAD design, networking with our suppliers and an efficient storage system, we can soon supply the right spare part. Service assignments at scheduled downtimes and timely handover requires our experienced mechanics who can take even the unforeseeable in their stride.

For modernising older coating units and dryers and bringing them into line with the latest coating and drying technology, we have developed solutions that permit speedy and inexpensive integration of modern coating systems and our newly developed dryer nozzles in existing lines.
