HIGH END PROOFING FOR FLEXO AND PACKAGING APPLICATIONS

GMG FlexoProof supports specific flexo file formats, and includes a complete Pantone® spot color library. The product's functions are specifically tailored towards the needs of the packaging industry.

GMG Flexoproof o4, the latest version, includes the GMG color engine, profile editor / creator and RIP server, as well as output modules for various printing devices. Core element is the 4-D color-transformation engine that assures the highest possible contract proof quality on a variety of output devices. To calibrate the system, standard color targets are automatically measured using the calibration wizard and a spectrometer.

Device-independent color profiles can also be created making the system, together with some very sophisticated linearization tools, highly suitable for remote-proofing applications.

GMG FlexoProof supports all standard spot color systems up to 64 individual color channels, comes with a complete Pantone color library and is compatible with standard ICC profiles which can be combined with GMG profiles.

EASY INTEGRATION INTO AUTOMATED PACKAGING WORKFLOWS

GMG FlexoProof is easily integrated into automated workflows. For example, the correctly proofed data can automatically be written to a 'hot folder' and sent to the imagesetter or CTP process, without re-ripping the data.

Individual printing substrate structures such as paper fibers or corrugated board structures can be specified in the system and reproduced in the proof. The base color of the substrate can be reproduced as well. Actual printing conditions can also be simulated, such as printing on lower quality paper, with the use of variable image noise.

Apart from GMG FlexoProof, GMG offers other specific proofing and color management solutions, such as GMG ColorProof for color accurate contone contract proofs or GMG DotProof®, to generate contract quality halftone proofs using the original bitmap data.
