RLD400 Series Leak Testing Machines
The automatic RLD400 Series leak testing machines have been made for the food / beverage and aerosol sectors, specifically to check filled and sealed containers.
The RLD400, can test up to 1200 containers per minute, with a guaranteed reliability of over 99.99%. Thanks to the experience gained over the years, Bonfiglioli Engineering is capable of adapting these machines to the specific needs of its own customers, detecting leaks in both plastic as well as metal containers of any shape and size, such as milk bottles, yoghurt cups, food pouches, brick packs, etc.
Testing is done by automatically inserting the product in a testing chamber. Special sensors analyse the pressure pattern around the product when applied under vacuum, rejecting faulty, leaking containers accordingly. The RLD400 machine is fully computerised utilising a SCADA platform. The software is easy to operate and includes utilities such as a products database, statistical reports etc. A printer is also installed for printing test results and parameters. The machine includes an Auto Self Test system whereby the machine is self-challenged by a calibrated leaker installed in every chamber, as frequently as desired, to assure 100% reliability. Also installed is an Auto Cleaning Testing Pocket (ACP) mechanism, whereby the testing chambers are cleaned automatically when any spilling occurs from a reject, thus eliminating the possibility of subsequent false rejects. The output may easily reach 400 cpm depending on the number of testing heads. Laboratory semi-automatic models for QC lab or random sampling are also available.
