STRETCH-HOOD WRAPPING

Stretch-hood wrapping involves an undersized film hood being stretched hydraulically to a dimension that matches the exact outer circumference of the load. The four grippers that have stretched the film travel down the load applying the film and finally securing it underneath the pallet.

Our film 'snap-back' system ensures a reliable hold between pallet and load, and secures the pallet for storage and transportation.

Our latest stretch-hood wrapping machines live up to the constantly increasing demands for higher capacities, improved appearance and greater cost-efficiency.

This is verified by the fact that these new stretch-hood wrapping machines can reach capacities of more than 180 loads per hour. This means that one stretch-hood machine will perform to the capability of two stretch or spiral wrappers, lowering your costs.

Stretch-hood wrapping combines the best elements of shrink wrapping and stretch wrapping. Our stretch-hood wrapping machines are fast, robust, simple-to-operate and reliable pieces of equipment which require no heat. Stretch-hood wrapping provides low wrapping costs per pallet, optimum stability and excellent protection.

SHRINK-WRAPPING

The principle of the shrink-wrapping method is that an oversize film hood is applied onto a load which is subsequently shrunk by means of heat. The heat makes the film contract around the load, thus ensuring the optimum transport stability.

Depending on the specific requirements of our customers, Lachenmeier can produce manual, fully automatic and high-speed shrink-wrapping machines.

SLEEVE-WRAPPING

The wide range of packaging machinery available from Lachenmeier also includes two types of sleeve-wrapping lines. The first is a sleeve-wrapper followed by vertical shrink columns. The second is a sleeve-wrapper followed by a shrink frame.

Lachenmeier's sleeve-wrapping lines are primarily supplied to the appliance industry. These industries require lines offering extremely high capacities. We can meet these demands, because our lines are capable of running at more than 360 units per hour.
