Wolke - Industrial Ink Jet Coding and Printing System M600, Industrial Inks

Wolke Inks & Printers, based in Hersbruck, Germany, is a leading supplier of industrial ink jet coding systems and industrial inks for the packaging industry.

After listening to clients' feedback on 'classic' inkjet systems, Wolke developed its new printing system, m600. This project started early 1999. The requirements for this system were clearly defined by our clients as follows:

• Minimum changeover times
• Perfect barcode print
• No service and maintenance
• Clean production surroundings

The basis to put up all these requirements to praxis formed the original Hewlett-Packard ink cartridge used by the m600.

RELIABLE PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION - INGENIOUS PRINTING TECHNOLOGY

Wolke’s m600 printing system has built up a good reputation, especially in the food and pharmaceutical industry. For Wolke customers, clogged jets and blurred print results are unknown phenomena. Thanks to ingenious printing technology – the printer uses Hewlett Packard cartridges which are also used in office printers and are available worldwide – the print result is always perfect.

M600 - THE RIGHT ALTERNATIVE WITH 4 FLEXIBLE PRINT HEADS

Up to four print heads can be connected to the m600 Controller unit. With 4 print heads, the maximum printing height is 50.8mm. The m600 print heads are available in various models and for a range of assembly and space options, for fixed or movable installation. Integration into a network is no problem thanks to standard interfaces. Data transfer uses the m600 Manager software, a Windows-based program.

MARKING PRODUCTS WITH HIGH RESOLUTION, VARIOUS BARCODES AND UTMOST CLARITY

A resolution of 60 to 600 dpi permits absolutely clear marking. Accordingly, printing speeds of 30m/min to 300m/min are possible. Apart from the common bar codes such as EAN 8, EAN 13, EAN 128, Code 128, Code 39 and the 2D-Data-Matrix-Code, logos and variable product data can also be located on the products and master boxes in excellent quality.

The m600 also features:

The m600 printing system comes with a five-year warranty.

PORTABLE PRINTING SYSTEM - BASED ON M600 TECHNOLOGY

The portable print system m600 can be used flexibly, as it need not be integrated rigidly in a line. Subsequent local corrections of the marking can be applied quickly and easily. The portable printing device even permits straightforward labeling of bulky goods, such as wooden crates for overseas transport.

Another innovation is the protective cover for m600 print heads. This cover ensures optimum results even in places where stringent hygienic regulations are a must.
